PROJECTS IMPACTING COMMUNITIES

Back To School

The Back to School mission is to ensure that every child is prepared to learn and succeed by providing free school supplies to children in need. on back to school education program. We also donate teaching materials to the schools.

Menstrual Health

Motherly Heart Foundation embarked to help tackle the issues surrounding Menstrual hygiene management (MHM) in schools following the report from the ministry of education and sports ( MOES) that recommended WASH program to address the needs of girls. Read More about this

Mentorship

Motherly heart foundation community’s mentoring program understands that there are multiple factors that contribute to the young people’s wellbeing or welfare and has impact harnessed its energy, expertise and passion to mobilize and support young people to make responsible life choices so that they can make positive economic, social, health, education choices well with the changing world around them

Gender Equality

At Motherly Heart Foundation we acknowledge that gender equality  requires equal enjoyment by women and men of socially valued goods, opportunities, resources and rewards. When you have women or men who are left out of or mistreated by their societies, those societies are less stable, insecure, less democratic. Gender based violence hinders the ability of individuals to participate fully in to their families and communities- economically, socially and politically.

Water, Sanitation And Hygiene (WASH)

At Motherly heart foundation, we believe that access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) is paramount for children in schools, particularly for girls as well as children with disabilities. Contaminated water, poor sanitation or unhealthy hygiene practices increases the risk of contracting diarrhoeal and other WASH related diseases leading to school dropouts. This is a big challenge for girls especially those who are menstruating.
